The 2017 model MKZ sedan from Lincoln is expected to be introduced with some styling prompts of the Continental. As the whole thing between the wheels of the new 2017 MKZ stays unchanged, the new vehicle is expected to acquire some changes in its rear and front parts.
Moreover, its headlights, its hood and the front part would get a few styling nips. Through these nips, the main aim of the automaker is to bring this mid-sized sedan in line with the recently launched Continental flagship.
The new MKZ not only borrows the concept from the Lincoln Continental, but it borrows its design lingo from it, as well. It may be a bit anodyne, but the novel look finally ditches the split-wing grille design, which is currently available in all Lincoln models, and it looks as if the automaker would change the face of all its vehicles to match that of the Continental.
The mid-cycle rejuvenation of the 2017 MKZ is as good a time as any to stumble on the new mug, and clients can expect the analogous facelift of added models in the near future. This is a slight rejuvenation, the front-drive of the 2017 MKZ from Lincoln and the Ford Fusion would share the CD4-derived underpinnings. The new MKZ is expected to come with a mammoth vent hole to nurture adequate air to its rectangular grille, though a spike is running down the center of the new MKZ.
2017 Lincoln MKZ Interior
The 2017 Lincoln MKZ certainly has lots of flounce, and it features its own design features, too. These features would assist the vehicle to stand separately from its competitors. The major change that buyers can notice in the interior of the 2017 MKZ is its cabin.
Its cabin would bring about the prologue of physical keys instead of the capacitive controls found in the outgoing model. Furthermore, the new sedan will also be outfitted with a dazzling infotainment system, which is borrowed from Ford.
Engine and Specs
It is expected that the redesigned 2017 Lincoln MKZ would be equipped with a 4-cylinder, turbo engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters, from the EcoBoost family with 245 Hp.
The new MKZ from Lincoln would also be outfitted with a V6 GTDI engine with a displacement of 3.0 liters with 400 Hp and 400 pound-feet of torque.
Evidently, the hybrid version would continue, but it would be outfitted with a 2.0-liter engine from the EcoBoost family to perk up the fuel economy on 40 mpg combined. This EcoBoost engine in combination with electric engine offers the New MKZ the required power of 188 horsepower.
