The beginning of this year marked the official presentation of the 2016 Lincoln MKX in the showrooms of Detroit Auto Show. This is the first crossover SUV and luxury car model that has been presented out of the North American continent by the Lincoln Company.
Exterior
Compared to the already out and released 2015 model, this new model has a lithe body and muscle. It comes with a well sophisticated and tapered roof line with long fender arches. The company’s trademark split grille has been perfectly performed with horizontal thin slats that smoothly flow into LED sign lights and its delicate headlight units. The LED lighting on the rear enables an ultra thin look and view of the company’s tail light concept that always come in full width. The diameter of the wheels range from eighteen to twenty two inches in diameter.
Interior Design
A totally redefined cabin features inside this car model. The shifter on the push button frees up extra space and the premium material lends a feel that is of high quality. Its optional adjustable front seats which are twenty two-way allow an adequate amount of adjustment. This is the first car to offer an audio system (premium) built and branded by the luxurious home speaker designer company Revel audio. A Revel Ultima system featuring nineteen speakers is also fitted at the line’s top. Eleven adjustable air bladders have also been fitted in this car model. It also comes with an application (MyLincoln Mobile) that gives the driver the ability to start, locate, lock and unlock their vehicle through the use of a smartphone. Twelve sensors and a three sixty-degree camera for enhanced parking assistance complete the interior giving it an all-Lincoln look.
Lincoln 2016 MKX Specs and Engine
Two engine options will be found under the hood of this luxurious car. The 2.7 liter-twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 is the main novelty. This engine type delivers a horse power of more than three hundred and thirty with over three hundred and seventy lb-ft torque. The 3.7 liter V6 engine that is similar to the one in which the 2015 Ford Mustang is powered will serve as the base engine. It can produce two hundred and eighty ft of torque and more than three hundred of horse power. The two engines are mated with an automatic transmission that is 6-speed with SelectShift system and push button shift. Depending on the drive, varies information on Lincoln MKX 2016 0-60 times. When used All-wheel Drive, car can reach from 0-60 in 5.9 sec, or Front-wheel Drive in 6.5 sec.
The Release Date and Price
The release date for the 2016 Lincoln MKX is not yet officially announced and it still remains unknown. However, it is highly presumed that it will hit the market in the fall of 2015. It will first be available only in the US market. The base model (Premiere 100A) price (MSRP) is expected to be around $38,100, while the higher trim level (Reserve 102A) is expected to be around $45,100.
